Wrenbridge Land have successfully finished their search for their charity of the year 2019.
Various charitable organisations pitched their work to Wrenbridge over the last few weeks, and the charity that stole their heart, which will be their Charity of the Year for 2019, was Send a Cow.
Send a Cow is an organisation which helps African families to grow their own food, confidence and aspirations, and has done since 1988.They source and deliver local livestock for communities, and then, through training in farming, and tackling social issues such as gender inequality, they enable them to acquire both the hope and the skills to reach their goals.
Last year, Wrenbridge’s Charity of the Year was Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust, who’s aim is to see cervical cancer prevented, whilst working to reduce the impact cervical abnormalities and cervical cancer has on those affected, by providing help and support. Wrenbridge raised an amazing £5,200 for the charity, and we know they will work just as hard for their 2019 charity.
